Wendy & her family have been a Metamora resident for over a decade. She continues to be a successful pet advocate for over 20 years. Her rescue dogs, Gracie and Spencer, are a big part of her family!

• Employed at Hollow Corners veterinarian's office in Dryden 2018-2024
• Founder/President of Lapeer's Adoptable Animals, 501(c)3 nonprofit 2011-2021, an advocate organization for homeless pets & awareness for spay & neutering
• Head volunteer with a municipal animal control - Animal care, social media sharing resulting in successful adoptions and reducing their euthanasia rate
• Started the Community Pet Food Pantry allowing needy families to keep their pets
• Spay & Neuter: Coordinating monthly transport for All About Animals
• Former Board Secretary with K9 Stray Rescue League
• Nominee in 2012 for Lapeer County Citizen of the Year for community volunteering
• Owner of Whisker Watcher a successful pet sitting & dog walking business in Sterling Heights

"It's difficult to see dogs surrendered to animal control, some due to behavioral issues. I would like the opportunity to assist families with training and behavioral issues to prevent dogs from being surrendered, reducing further stress to these dogs."
Allison has been a Metamora resident for over 20 years. She shares a home with her beloved Lola, a rescued German Shepherd.
Her current goal is to work with dogs using Positive Reinforcement to prevent or correct behavioral issues. Her special interest is in reactive/fearful dogs due to her currently owning one.

• Retired Registered Nurse (RN) after 23 years of service
• Trained all four of her other dogs that were pure German Shepherd or German Shepherd mixes (Fritzi, Akyra, Socky, Cayannie)
