Advance your dog in the AKC Family Dog Program to

a COMUNITY CANINE!

The Community Canine class is for students who have gone through our Beyond Basic Fundamentals Intermediate class and that have passed the Canine Good Citizen test.  This class will take place out in the community at different locations each week so we can take your dog’s training to the next level with the ability to work with more distractions in the environment.

AKC Community Canine is the advanced level of the AKC’s Canine Good Citizen Program which is all about ensuring you have a well-behaved dog while you’re out and about in the community. Strong focus on real-life situations and experiences.   Dogs who pass the AKC Community Canine test earn the official AKC Community Canine title that is designated by the letters “CGCA” (Advanced CGC) on the dog’s title record.

The AKC Community Canine test is done in real situations in the community.  Each week we will practice the AKC Community Canine test items.

Students will have the option to take the test on the last class or a different scheduled date for an additional fee of $20.
